We get it, not everyone wants to spend evenings surrounded by a group of Scouts. Some people are more at home balancing the books and helping our teams have the resources they need to deliver Scouts. Sound like you?

We’re looking a new Treasurer to be part of our Trustee Board. It’s a great chance to help young people gain skills for life in a ‘behind the scenes’ role. You’ll be a Trustee of West Leeds Scouts, part of the team that’s responsible for the safe operation of the District and ensuring we’re using our resources well. You’ll also be a leader ensuring we’re keeping clear, and accurate accounts, that we’re maximising value for money, and that we’re complying with the rules.

You don’t need Scouts or Trustee experience, but experience of bookkeeping or accounting would be helpful in this role.

And you’ll be able to volunteer in a way that works for you. Our Trustee Board meets every couple of months, and other tasks can be done at a time and place that works for you (even on the sofa!)

You won’t be on your own. There’s training available and we have some experienced Trustees who’ll support you. You’ll gain knowledge and skills too. Being a trustee isn’t just about you helping Scouts – it’s #GoodForYou, too.
