European Scout Jamboree, August 2021 – Applications re-opened

Central Yorkshire Scouts’ European Scout Jamboree trip has been rescheduled to take place from 2nd-16th August 2021 and we now have up to 6 places available within our Unit, for which we are recruiting. The Unit will comprise 36 Explorer Scouts/Scouts and 4 Leaders from Central Yorkshire.
If you were born between 03/08/2003 and 31/12/2007, inclusive, then you are eligible to apply for this event.
The event includes:
Flights to and from Poland
11 Day European Scout Jamboree camp on Sobieszewo Island in northern Poland with 20,000 Explorer Scouts from all over Europe and further afield
3 day Unit trip to Krakow and the Tatra Mountains in Southern Poland
All food, travel and accommodation
Branded hoodie, polo and necker
At least 2 UK-based training camps
This will be an amazing event and trip – one not to be missed.
The total cost of the event is £1400-1500, paid in instalments over the next 12 months and we strongly recommend you undertake fundraising to cover this cost.
If you would like to be considered for selection for the European Jamboree Unit, please complete the application form and parental consent (links below) form and email Colin Taverner, Central Yorkshire Scouts’ European Jamboree Unit Leader, at colin.taverner@icloud.com. The closing date for applications is 23.59 on Monday 29th June and we will be holding selection interviews by video call during July 2020.
For more information about the event, please see; https://ej2020.org
Please note: Selection for, and attendance at, the European Jamboree in 2021 will not affect any Scout/Explorer Scout’s chances of also attending the World Scout Jamboree in 2023 – it will be possible for any eligible individual to attend both, if selected.
